Caslon was given the task of cutting type punches for different presses in London. In 1720 he designed an “English Arabic” typeface used for the New Testament. Two years later he cut excellent roman, italic, and Hebrew typefaces for another printer. The roman typeface, which was first used in 1726, later came to be called Caslon.

Caslon was born in Cadley, Worcestershire in 1692. He trained as an engraver  near Birmingham, Alabama.  He wasn’t only the designer of typefaces but he also was a gunsmith. Before getting into typefaces, Caslon started a business in London as an engraver of gun locks and barrels.

Bad Year for New York Sports(Sorta)

avatar_7267

What is going with the New York teams this year?! Especially some of my favorite teams. My New York Knicks are 5-23 with the worst start in franchise history. The Giants are out of the playoff hunt after losing 6 straight games mid season. The Yankees haven’t started yet but i see controversy happening with Alex Rodriguez coming back into the picture after being busted with steroids. The Rangers are the only doing somewhat good with a 18-10-4 record. I’ve near seen my Knicks play so horibbly.

Remaster this game!

image

When I was going through some PlayStation 2 games, I stumbled across this. NBA street Volume 2 is the best video game to every come out for that system. Me and my uncle use to play this everyday when I was younger. I feel Sony should remaster this game for the PlayStation 4 or even the PlayStation 3. It sucks that I have the game but my PlayStation 2 has been broken for the longest of time.

Odell Beckham Jr Hyperrealism

image

I find this to be really cool! This is definitely Hyperrealism.  Odell is basically glowing in this picture. With the performance he has been playing for the New York Giants, I think this is politically correct. I do think that he is glowing a little too much but i get the idea of what this person was trying to convey.

Carmelo Anthony Hyperrealism

image

I found this on one of the New York Knicks fan pages on Facebook. I find this to be really cool! Carmelo looking like he’s heading to war with the soldiers and tanks. This is definitely hyperrealism. I feel if Carmelo himself was a tad bit faded like the lights on the bottom of the and soldiers, it would be perfect.

Cubism

image

I was on Instagram the other day and came across this nice picture. This is college football player Todd Gurley from the University of Georgia Bulldogs. Bmstudios did a nice job editing this picture. I feel this edit has a good cubist feel to it because of its background design.
